PROGRAMME

OF NATIONAL SOCIAL SECURITY INSTITUTE

FOR PREVENTION AND REHABILITATION (NSSI Programme)

2010 year

THE FOLLOWING INDIVIDUALS ARE ENTITLED TO FINANCIAL AID FOR PREVENTION AND REHABILITATION:

1. Individuals, insured for general healthcare, maternity and/or occupational hazard and occupational disease;

2. Individuals, who receive a personal disability pension, if they are not over the age, specified in Article 68, Paragraph 1 -3 from the Social Security Code, they are not insured and the disability term in the Expert Statement of the Regional Expert Medical Commission, respective that of the National Expert Medical Commission, is still valid.

* Individuals under p.1. acquire the right of financial aid for prophylaxis and rehabilitation, if to their name there are deposited or owed social security payments for a period of six consecutive calendar months, preceding the month in which the prophylaxis and rehabilitation will take place. The period of six calendar months includes:

1. Paid and unpaid maternity leave;

2. Paid and unpaid leave for temporary incapacity for work and pregnancy and birth leave;

3. Unpaid leave up to 30 work days for one calendar year;

4. The period, during which the self-employed individuals, who are insured for general healthcare and maternity have received financial compensation for temporary inability to work, pregnancy, childbirth and maternity as well as the periods of temporary inability to work, pregnancy, childbirth and maternity, for which they were not entitled to compensation.

* The requirement for deposited or owed social security payments for a period of six consecutive calendar months does not refer to individuals with disabilities, which are a result of occupational hazard or occupational disease.

* Individuals, insured only for occupational hazard and occupational disease, are entitled to funding only in cases of occupational hazard and occupational disease.

* The financial aid for each entitled individual includes:

1. Funding for no more than 4 basic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures daily (including examinations and tests);

2. Funding for accommodation according to price list, set in the Contract between National Social Security Institute and ‘Prophylaxis, Rehabilitation and Recreation’ Plc;

3. Partial funding for meals, amounting to 5.00 BGN daily. For the arrival and departure dates NSSI grants a total funding of 5.00 BGN for meals.

* Individuals are entitled to financial aid for prophylaxis and rehabilitation once in a calendar year for a 10-day length of stay.

NECESSARY DOCUMENTS FOR ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATE FOR GRANTING OF FINANCIAL AID FOR PROPHYLAXIS AND REHABILITATION IN THE PRR PLC HOTELS:

1. Reservation reservation is made by individuals through the PRR Plc Tourist agencies or directly at the hotel . Each person is charged a single reservation fee at the amount of 15.00 BGN

2. Examination certificate – the Examination Certificate (Ministry of Healthcare Official Template, # 119a, 98) is issued by a doctor in charge in 2 copies and certifies the following: the disease, for which it is necessary to have prophylaxis and rehabilitation, the accompanying diseases if there are such, the medical motives for rehabilitation, as well as the respective medical tests. The examination certificate is issued not earlier than 30 calendar days before the arrival date at the respective hotel.

3. Identity card.

4. Standard document (Appendix #1 – see NSSI website) , certifying the social security rights of the individual.

5. Personal Medical Record Book and/or medical documentation , certifying the present and past health status of the individual - epicrises, tests, diagnostic images, electrocardiograms and other documents as per the individual case.

6. Individuals with permanent lowered ability to work of 50 and over 50% should also present an Expert Statement from the Regional Expert Medical Commission, respective from the National Expert Medical commission, as well as a standard declaration (Appendix #2, see NSSI website), that they are not insured.

7. Individuals, who have had an occupational accident should also present a decision for acknowledgement of accident as occupational.

8. Individuals with occupational disease should also present an Expert Statement for acknowledgement of occupational disease.

* Individuals present the above-listed documents in the NSSI regional office up to 10 days before the arrival date at the respective hotel.

* On the basis of the presented documents a standard certificate is issued at the NSSI Regional Office.

* Certificate is not issued to individuals, for whom there are contraindications to prophylaxis and rehabilitation.
